How to unleash the economic potential of digital!


Digital is a competitiveness lever for companies. Digital maturity is widely correlated with their performance.


But in terms of the use of technology, companies are not at all at the same level of maturity as individuals.


What are the key success factors for a successful digital transformation?


As a reminder, the digital strategy is a global corporate project with the objectives of:

- Evolve your business model,

- Create new market opportunities,

- Search for new production processes...


My vision of the success of a digital transformation is around 4 axes:


🧭Committed and adapted governance

o The definition of an ambitious vision (structured, formalized and shared) to give meaning to the transformation and integrate the entire organization and employees.

o A top management involve, and a sponsor committed and dedicated to digital that carries the vision and has human and financial resources as well as decision-making power.

o A rapid decision-making process, on smaller perimeters and shorter periods: fluidity and agile culture.



🌟Value creation at the heart of the transformation

o Shared transformation objectives: benefits, induced changes and impacts if not done.

o Focused on the customer experience and the answer to their needs.

o Diagnosis and scoping focused on the needs and not the solution to make the right changes and make the right decisions in the face of the multiplicity of possible choices.


🙆‍♀️🙆‍♂️Involved, engaged and autonomous employees

o Carry out a digital acculturation: communicate, train, recruit new talents, ensure a fair place for everyone.

o Define a team of change agents who will be the link between the strategic vision and the operational reality, be actively listening, and ensure upward and downward communication.

o Ensure ownership and implementation of changes by everyone.


🥇Operational excellence

o Set up a project team and an operating model to transfer skills to the operational team.

o Define a collaborative, iterative and scalable approach between project and operational teams in a culture of “test & learn” and continuous improvement.

o Ensure an appropriate information systems infrastructure.


In conclusion, we can have the best and most expensive technology in the world, if it is not aligned with the digital vision of the company and is not used by employees, it will not bring the expected benefits.


People are at the heart of the digital transformation.
